Holiday Sweaters @ Garment District!

New front page up at Garment District!!

We have gaggles of ugly holiday sweaters right now, it’s pretty amazing the assortment and amount of spangles. Come in soon, these tend to sell out pretty quickly!

Just FYI Matt is wearing a red sweater with Snoopy skiing on it, this one is cute and tacky versus terrible. Tess is wearing a white sweater that seems to have Grateful Dead bears ringing in the New Year with sequins, streamers and hats.  This one also has a battery pack for the led Christmas lights on it!  Just one of the many doozies we have here at Garment District!

October at The Garment District

With Halloween getting closer and closer we sent folks out in costumes from our rental department (downstairs, at Boston Costume). Check it out!

Cleopatra and Nefertiti. Back from the past, hanging out in Cambridge!

Ringmaster and Saloon Girl, did you see them hula hooping in Harvard Square on Saturday?

And last but not least, Mounty and Beaver! Hilarious!

Employee Favorites: Eddie Kent

We recently challenged some of our employees to choose some of their favorite items they’ve gotten here at The Garment District.  Here are Eddie’s picks!

Eddie Kent arrived at The Garment District in the 80’s restyling 60’s and 70’s fashions. Over the last 20 years Eddie has expanded his creative abilities to other areas, such as window displays, merchandising, and now modeling! The Garment District sells Eddie’s collection of pop culture magnets, underwear, and ornaments for the holidays. Divas, such as Lady Gaga, Divine, and Cher are often the subject of Eddie’s work.

Another great thing about them is that they are timeless, from our vintage department to our contemporary department, you can see these prints on all kinds of clothing and accessories, whether it’s the trim on a vintage skirt, or woven patches on an 80’s fanny pack!
