Parking

There are many options for parking in our neighborhood within a five-minute walk from The Garment District. In addition to several metered parking spaces on Broadway just outside our door, the surrounding streets offer plentiful metered parking spots.

There are also multiple large parking garages in the area. The Technology Square garage (accessed from Technology Square) has roughly 1500 spots, the One Kendall Square garage (entrance on Binney Street) has roughly 1500 spaces, and the Cambridge Center East garage (entrance on Ames Street) has roughly 875 parking spots.

If you are a Cambridge resident, there is residential parking on many of the streets in our neighborhood, including Davis Street, Harvard Street, and Hampshire Street.

The Garment District is accessible by subway and bus:

If using the public transportation system we recommend taking the MBTA RedLine to the Kendall/MIT station. We are only 4 blocks from the subway station and the trains run very frequently 7 days a week. If you chose to take the bus many of the bus routes do stop closer to the store. Make sure to check the bus times because their frequency varies.

LOVE FOR THE DISTRICT

"You must experience the kitsch and kewl of the Garment District. From the famous pink trimmed building to the costumed craziness inside, this is more than an "alternative department store." It is a legend. Not only do they buy and sell vintage and specific types of specialty clothes, but they have plenty of new items and a perpetual costume section that will leave your head spinning. And that's okay, 'cuz you can buy a new head in that costume department.

You don't go to the Garment District because you need clothes. You go because you *love* clothes -- and history, pizzzazzzzz, fashion, and treasure hunting. Both floors of this hidden gem will entertain and inspire you, and most certainly get you walking out of there with something fabulous.

Bring Your Own Bag to stuff it all in, as the city is now bag-free. But don't miss the chance to peruse the goods at this Cambridge icon."
